History

Richard Chico started in 1992 by installing and welding protective lining systems. In 2000 Richard became the sole owner of RMC Construction performing all types of concrete construction and protective lining projects. In March 2008 he incorporated forming Sonco Construction Inc. and decided to focus efforts on Ameron Protective Lining Systems specializing in all aspects of T-Lock lining. Sonco joined the Southwest Carpenters Union in January of 2013 and in April Allyn Keltner was added as a partner to Richard bringing over 25 years of water transmission manufacturing experience with Ameron International. In late 2019 the production of the Ameron products were discontinued opening up the market for an up to date PVC liner manufacturer ArmorLok. Sonco was pleased to see a new passion for quality products and installation would now be available to the industry. Sonco is a manufacturer-preferred rehabilitation, installation, and PVC welding contractor.
